Day off....

I'm so envious of you. Yes you!! Sitting there in your chair with all that free time, leisurely reading all these zillion blogs on the net. All this time you have to chill at home and on the internet. Complaining of boredom and wishing you had activities or a job. I'm so envious. Anyways, today I had a free day off so I actually slept in all day until the afternoon. Got up and bummed on the internet and complained about being bored. So happy!!

Anyways, got my new account at TD Bank/Canada Trust today. And let me tell you, those people there are so incredibly nice (even though service charges are a bit pricy)!! There's absolutely no lineup; once there's more than two people in line, they rush to get a new teller working so there'll be less waiting for customers. They serve you coffee and cookies there, and when a mother came in with her two children, the receptionist warmly greeted her by first name while the bank manager ran to the back to grab suckers for the kids. So sweet. =) And the bank manager kept apologizing to me for keeping me "waiting" when she had to go make my Green card and stuff like that, even though it wasn't really waiting. So genuine. I think CCF and the christian community should strive to be like TD Bank. =)

Anyways, went shopping with Joe, Sue, Megs, Lyds and Lyds' sis Dorcas (whom I must say is super cool, even though Lyd's keeps her locked up in a closet!) Anyways, Joe had to leave early and I got stuck shopping at STC with four girls. Oh man! Anyways, Lyds is going to blog about shopping from a girl's point of view, and I'll write about it from a guy's point of view (well, my own point of view that is.)

First off, I think that they should make a designated guys standing area. They should paint it all black or something and make a specified area outside all the gurlie shops where guys can stand. Or even going one step further, they should have a strip in a mall where it's all the gurliest of all gurls shops. This would be your "La Senza, Fairweather, Reitmans, etc." (all of which I had to visit today, by the way!) shops, and they should clump them all up in one strip. Then instead of putting lousy trees or other useless necklace booths, they should seat a couple leather couches, a big screen TV, and hand out free (or extremely cheap) beer (or other beverages.) Think of how many guys would actually want there girlfriends to go girly shopping, instead of rushing them!! Their sales would skyrocket! Lastly, each store should have a "guy station" where those unfortunate guys who get dragged into the store can get together and mingle, have a drink, and sit comfortably while their girl pals shop. Trust me, standing there holding a stack of women's clothing for your girl is not fun, especially after hour number 6.

Anyways, luckily for me, these girls were pretty cool, since two were my godsis' and the other two super cool. Embarassing moment though, as I remarked to Megs "Nice dress, although that slit tie thing at the front is way too revealing!" Says the sales associate with a small grin, "Um, actually, that's the back of the dress dear!" Oops!

Finished opening up our pool, so can finally swim! And Megs and I sent out the birthday invitations, so if you actually know us well and you didn't get an e-mail, it probably bounced since we haven't really updated our mailing list so leave us a message! Long day tommorrow, gotta sleep! Nite!
