Friendships.... Today was a pretty sweet day, despite the fact that it was incredibly hot. Got the day off work so I could actually sleep in and chill and stuff. Was a pretty decent day but what made it really good was totally my friends. Talked with Megs last night for hours just catching up from everything from relationships to CCF to birthday, until we both eventually fell asleep. Woke up when Kar called me, and it was nice waking up to that compared to waking up at 6 for 10 hours of hellacious work. Then Carny called me after that from HK and that totally made my day and we talked for like 2 hours before she fell asleep. Spent most of the day ICQing with different people (joking around with Lil and Pino) and getting phone calls here and there. Was very relaxing and totally made my boring pointless day enjoyable and worthwhile. Bigjon treated me for a movie after with a couple other CCFers and that was a decent evening. (Sum of all Fears was decent, not spectacular, not horrible.) Friends really have the ability to change around your mood and affect the way you feel. If a friend is sad, you're sad with them. If they're happy, you rejoice with them. I have a nice break tommorrow from 12-3 for lunch because of some stuff going on at work so I don't really have anything to do. So supposedly, Sue, Dan, Barbz and her sis, Pino, Megs, Dennis, and maybe more are all coming downtown to chill and have lunch, so I sort of have something to do instead of sit around for 3 hours. Very sweet. I really hope that God will keep these as "friends of the heart" and that we can really continue to support and build each other up. I'm totally appreciating the people that God has blessed my life with. People that pray with and for me, keep me accountable, joke around with me, or just flash a quick smile. You guys know you are. Y'all rock. Been thinking and praying a lot about CCF lately too. Some things there are really heavy on my heart, but too personal to share here. Ask me for more details.
