Weekend.... Pretty good weekend. Got considerably darker, which I absolutely hate!! Wonderland was really fun on Saturday. I'm usually not a big wonderland fan; in fact, this was only my second time going ever that I can remember. Hot sweltering heat, getting burned by the sun, waiting in long long lines, short rides, overpriced prices for just about everything; not exactly my cup of tea. Anyways, this time, I went with little little kids, who didn't want to go on the long-lined rides. They wanted to go on the merry-go-round, the slow cable car copter ride, the bumper cars, IMAX shows, waterpark, etc. So yea, considering I'm not a huge rollercoaster fan, and especially not fond of long lines, it was really fun. Kids were cute and it was really fun chilling with Lil and Gid. Went to the driving range with Gid and Jon after that. Wow, I'm incredibly rusty. Only got a few that I really liked. Jon's pretty good too, and Gid can either be awesome or terrible. Pretty fun afternoon. Spent the evening watching Bounce, which my bro and Sharon rented. It was surprisingly good and not really sappy considering the front box cover quoted "Best romance of the year." Not bad at all! Feeling a bit sick so went to bed early. Went to church today and it was a pretty good sermon from Alfred about just pleasing people and how pleasing God is so much sweeter. People are unpredictable and demanding but God is totally reliable and his reward and promises are so much more fulfilling to sum it up in one phrase. After went out for congee with a bunch of church people, had some good fellowship there and then headed to softball practice. Side note: I've been having a lot of congee lately with Jon.. =) Softball practice was very long and lasted for over 4 hours because we ended up having an exhibition game with a senior team. That was pretty fun except we were dead tired and I felt so burnt despite all the gobbles of sun tan lotion i put on. Went to grandparents for dinner (as is customary every Sunday night in our family) and now here I am. Probably going to sleep soon. Been talking to a lot of people that I haven't talked to in an incredibly long time and whom I really miss, so that was really neat. Still really need to catch up on some other people and see how they're doing. Lyds says to me, "Friends come in seasons", and I totally agree but I really value the friendships where we can not talk for ages and then suddenly half a year later just pick up where we left off. I'm starting to miss a lot of friends, especially those from school this year whom I haven't talked to since school ended. Anyways, long Monday ahead tommorrow full of work and fun. *sarcastically* Must sleep. Hope you had an enjoyable weekend as well. posted by jamescl | 10:15 PM
