Lost... ![]() Meet Shakria. He's just three years old yet he's endured more hardships than most of us will in a lifetime. He goes through countless days hungry and this package that he got from US aid services will have to last him and his family for a couple weeks. He'll probably never get to experience half the luxuries that we take for granted, such as driving a car, living in a house with A/C or even getting the oppurtunity to take higher education. Most of all, he'll probably never hear about Jesus. I was at Chapters for a few hours today and was just reading about September 11 and a firefighter's account of being in the building and all the miraculous rescues and stories. I then picked up a book on the living conditions and daily lifestyles of the Afghan people and my heart just mourned for them. I read stories and saw picture after picture of war, impoverishment, oppression and suffering. I read about how most of them will never hear about our Saviour and His perfect gift. And I mourned for them. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 28:19 posted by jamescl | 10:12 PM
