Elevator Experience... So today, I was going up an elevator at my buddy's place, and I hear this guy talking to a woman friend of his about basketball. More specifically, he was talking about the Raptors, as if he knew it all. "So tonight, they're playing the Pistons in the first pre-season game. Should be an interesting match, though Detroit traded away Stackhouse. Don't know what they're thinking." Duh, I could have told you that, I thought. "Man to watch out for on the Pistons is Richard Hamilton. Will be interesting to see how he meshes." Again, a no brainer. Stop trying to impress your lady friend. I thought it was kind of amusing how he was trying to show off his basketball knowledge and such. I was thoroughly not impressed. What does he know about basketball? As he walked out of the elevator, I glanced at his nametag he had on his suit: Jim Kelly, Head Scout of the Toronto Raptors. Oops. (I should have asked for tickets!!! =) posted by jamescl | 10:24 PM
