Speedin' along... We stopped there, at the 404/401 intersection, waiting for the slow cars in front of us to stop staring at the car on the shoulder and move on. We each looked to our left and right. To my left, rice boy driving a souped-up Integra, to my right, a darker guy (Flip or Black) in his Accord. I saw the smile, heard the rev of the engine, and we were off. One lane ends just as you pass the 401, so three cars, two lanes. Dark guy slips behind and tries to pass at the York Mills off-ramp, but a little extra umph from the V6 engine helps cut him off as he swerves off and heads off to destination York Mills. We're down to two. Rice boy's got a small lead as we tactfully weave in and out of traffic, speeding by trucks and sedans alike. 140, 180, 200....we speed on. We get to a clear stretch around the Eglington construction area, with me on the left, him on the right, and rice boy slightly ahead. A 328 suddenly merges onto the right lane, cuts off rice boy, who slams on his brakes, as I speed off into the sunset (well, it was actually 1pm, but you get the point.) Nothing like some action to cheer you up. I think I want to be a professional race car driver. In related news, I found out my buddy has hookups for that super screen my bro was talking about (see his blog) and my friend has one in his car too. It's so sweet!! A small flat touch-screen TV/DVD/radio/super everything that is built into your car, and the thing is, he can get hooked up for only $1100-1400!!! Sweet deal considering it's really close to 4 grand.
