Kingston...

Had a really super weekend, in fact one of the best ones in a while. Was really relaxing and felt like a retreat, as I hardly got any work done, and just chilled around seeing old friends again. Anyways, we (my bro, Shar, and Ali) drove in on Friday around 5:30ish, and surprisingly, it only took about 2 hours to get there. We picked up Ang at her res and we headed off to CCF. It was bible study there, and it was kind of interesting to see how the CCF was so different from UTCCF. I guess sometimes, you take things for granted when you're accustomed to it every week. It was good seeing people at KCCF though, and we saw a bunch of Waterloo people that had driven up for the weekend too. After CCF, we met up with Janice (whom I was staying with,) and she took us to Stooleys, which is this nice little place that serves good bar food, and really good fries. We ate there, went over to Grace's res, and chilled there for a bit, then I went back to Jan's, Shar went to stay with Ang, and Jus stayed with Mike.

Jan has this huge place, and she was so super hospitable, and we spent quite a while just catching up, talking, a little bit of studying, and more talking. She has this bed couch thing in her huge room, so it was a really good sleep. I woke up early the next morning, and met up with Patty to go explore the Queens campus before everyone else was awake. We walked around for a while, found Jan doing her dance auditions and stuff, and checked out some of the buildings and did some exploring, then I went to pick everyone up and we had lunch at their caf. I really like the caf style because everyone on campus eats at the same place so it's really good çause you can see all your friends and stuff. I thought that was really cool.

We spent the afternoon with Grace for her birthday, exploring the downtown and wandering around in the cold with her other friends that had come up for her bday. It was good as I finally got a chance to have a coffee and a nice chat with Bern; it's definitely been a while. After a few hours of that, we went back to shoot pool and play jitz at Ang's res until it was time for dinner. We drove up to meet Grace and her friends at this nice little resteraunt where we had food, watched the Leafs game, talk and have birthday cake. Afterwards, a few of us took Grace out for bubbles and then we went back to Jan's chill for a while. After that, we dropped Grace off and went back to Ang's to chill, and after another late night, I came back to Jan's and we chilled back at her place. She entertained me with dances from her fashion show and other great treats. =)

Sunday, went to Bethel church, which was actually really good, considering how tired I was. It was short and sweet, and to the point. I like that! Had a quick brunch with Queens people, then we drove back in the snow storm. Thank God He kept us alive; it was totally out of my hands!!

Anyways, the weekend was really fun, thanks so much to everyone that made it what it was. And of course, special thanks to Jan, Mike and Ang for their hospitality and letting us stay at their places, and of course Grace, Bern, Van and others for making us feel so at home and entertaining us. I definitely hope to come back soon (mid-March for Jan's fashion show?!) Anyways, hope you guys had a great weekend too.

PS. BJ, glad to hear that your surgery went well. Hope you continue to heal. Back to work for now, later!
