Happy New Year... What do you imagine the year 4701 will bring?! Flying cars, robots and teleport machines?! Maybe, but following the lunar callender, 4701 is...tommorrow. Bright colourful signs sprawled out across newspaper headlines, flashing on TV, elevators, washrooms and just about anywhere else, welcome and wish you a happy and prosperous new year. It is a time for familial communion, harmony, cleansing, and the solicitation of good fortunes. I've taken the time this week to appreciate my Chinese heritage and to be so lucky to live in a community where being Chinese really isn't too much of a minority (considering I live in Markham and go to UT!) Anyways, I've enjoyed my 10-course New Years eve dinner at my grandparents tonight with all the relatives and of course, there's much more to come these next few days.
