So Long, Sucker!!!... It's been an important part of my life for 5 long years. I've loved it, cared for it every night, cleaned it, and it's an important part of me. It's helped to literally shape who I am today. Many times, it's caused me much grief, pain and headaches, but it's all worth it. And just like that, so unexpectedly, it's gone. Gone forever. I kind of miss it. Everything feels so weird. So different. My mouth will never be the same again. Yes, it finally happened. After 5, yes five years, my braces are finally off. So happy, so incrediblly happy. That's the good news. The bad news: in it's place is a brand spankin' new mouthguard. Bigger than the ones hockey players wear. And the worst part is, I've got to wear it all the time, even at school for the next week. *Sigh* It causes my cheeks to bulge out and lips to pluck out, as saliva drools down my chin. Let the embarassment continue. Oh yea, and I have to re-learn how to smile. When I got braces, I learned to smile without showing braces (which is why a lot of people don't notice them.) For example, see the blog a couple days ago with Tomlin, and notice how I never show my braces. Now that they're gone, I can finally smile again. =) Following Jen's request for pics:
