Teens Conference... Hold me in Your arms Never let me go I wanna spend eternity with You Well, I'm at work now, and incredibly tired. It's been a crazy, crazy week of school and TC, but definitely very enjoyable. I helped out for the third year in a row as a rec leader, and I think every year, I feel a little older. This year, I felt a lot older. I saw my little god-sisters there, doing their little thang as TC captains and media heads and even workshop leaders. Seeing the kids jump up and down in the makeshift "mosh pit," running around and screaming with super never-ending energy, and facepaint and banners and gadgets tied to their bodies, can definitely make you feel very old. My tired body was aching by day 2 (Tuesday.) But nonetheless, it's great to see God working in the lives of many at TC, to see hundreds and hundreds of kids jumpin' up and down 'cause they can't control their excitement for Him, and good to sit down and have some chats with people I never get to see. Made many new friendships with some of the youngins, and it makes me feel more and more like an "older brother" figure. Anyways, I don't really know where I'm going with this. Maybe that I'm becoming the old geezer I vowed I would never become when I was a kid at TC. Some highlights: - "What's the best game at TC??" ELECTRIC FENCE!!! - the contrasting rock hard subs for lunch and really good chinese food for dinner - many, many people coming up in a quest to know Jesus more - "Beer, beer, beer, bubba of Beersheba!!!" - Derek's hype Bethel cheer and dance - all of us losing our voices by day 3 - pretty super worship sessions at night (the only ones I went to since I couldn't get up for the early ones =) - cheesy reality TV rec skits: Rec Millionaire, Recstars (Rec Idol), and Are You Rec?
