Reading Week... I was originally supposed to travel for reading week. Possible destinations included New York, Montreal, Cuba, New Jersey, California and a few others that my friends were planning to journey to. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. An extraction of four wisdom teeth put a quick dent in my plans and I found myself at home the entire week. And what a week it was. Probably one of the best I've had in a while, full of Mario Tennis, Leaf games, movies galore, reality TV and many other TV-related activities. Oh ya, and I got to finish quite a bit of work as well. It was really relaxing, lots of great time spent with friends doing absolutely nothing. It was like one big Seinfeld episode and it was great. Full of humour, action, fun - but in the end, nothing really happened. And now, it seems it's back to my relatively boring life at school as I try to finish the stretch run of my undergraduate career. In unrelated thoughts, isn't it crazy how Monday morning gas stations bring out the worst in everyone? Sure the gas is cheap, but the line-ups are getting crazy. Today, someone tried to back in to unintentionally "steal" another's spot, which led the other lady to get out of her car and start yelling at the guy. She then started pushing the car and kicking it when it still backed in and when the guy got out to pump his gas, an all-out fight broke out. Gas guys came from everywhere to break it up as I can imagine how gas fights in which enraged participants are armed with working nozzles could be potentially dangerous. (Understatement of the day?)
