Teachings... In compliance with the request of my beloved fans and in a shameless attempt to make this blog more educational, I've decided to dedicate this blog to some "teachings" I'd like to pass on of knowledge I've recently acquired. 1) As I was sitting back enjoying a brewsky on Thursday, as I watched my beloved Leafs come back from a 4-0 deficit (not to rub it in or anything Sens fans), I thought of what makes a good beer good. Good quality tasting beers are usually affected by the brewing process (for more click here.) Now when comsuming your favourite beer, you'll notice that different beers have different tastes. Some may be richer or fuller, some lighter. Lighter beers usually have lower alcoholic content and go down easier, while rich or full beers usually have a stronger taste (and hence are usually known as "manlier" beers.) As an aside, try drinking Guinness, the ultimate full beer if you want to sprout a few chest hairs quick. My motto for what makes a good beer is that every beer is good. You see, choosing your favourite cold one is a lot like choosing your favourite colour - it all comes down to personal preference. One may argue white is the best colour, another might say blue. You have your pinks (Coronas) that girls love, your blacks (Guinness) that guys may like more, and your blues (Heinnekens, Keiths) that are popular with everyone. So go ahead, try all the colours of the rainbow. (How's that for educational?) ![]() 2) I'd also like to educate you on how to sing - I believe in arts and culture as well as science and alcohol. But since it's difficult to teach over the net, I decided to let my good friend William Hung take a crack. Listen to the way he sings and watch him dance and you'll be well on your way to becomming the next Canadian Idol. Cheers. posted by jamescl | 9:38 PM
