It's Raining Men... So less than half an hour ago, I was in my daily routine driving to school and listening to AM640 Leafs Lunch talk on the radio. I had just finished reading a few articles on the tragic Cecilia Zhang incident and listened to a few of the radio news shows. The thoughts of the tragedy were still running fresh in my head as I had a few talks regarding the incident the previous night. All of a sudden, as I'm approaching the bridge right before my exit on the DVP (I believe it's the Bloor Viaduct or something like that) I see something large falling out of the sky from a distance. About 15 cars slammed on the brakes in front of me and I slammed down as well, while all the objects in my car flew around. Each driver slowly and cautiously drove to the object, motionless on the ground. Most pulled over by the time I had reached the object. As I drove by (pretty much rolled by at 1/2 a km/hr), I saw clearly that it was a man, arms and feet all tangled up and lying in a big ball on the ground. I pulled over and talked with some of the drivers who had all witnessed the same thing. Some people called the cops and some hung around, and some eventually left. It was surreal, like a scene right out of the beginning of a CSI episode. I suppose anything can happen in Toronto. More now than ever, I realize how full of sin and hurt this world is. More now than ever, we need God's hand on this city, this world. posted by jamescl | 1:17 PM
