Seeing Stars... So had a pretty fun day today. Went off to the library in the morning to work and to change some dvds. Off topic - I love the library. They have the best stuff - everything from movies (Face Off to Remember the Titans), TV Shows (Friends to Smallville) and even Chinese movies. I love it!!! Anyways, while at the library, I discovered why sometimes "nice guys finish last." There was a little Chinese kid with a tape that he wanted to check out so being the nice guy that I am, I decided to let him go first. There's only one librarian so he walks up and puts his tape down. Suddenly, his parents come from behind holding STACKS (and I mean stacks) of books, tapes, videos, and DVDs. There must have been at least 50 items, and I'm not exaggerating one bit. I must have waited for at least an hour (okay, really it was ten minutes.) Ah well, at least I got my DVDs out. I headed over to Fairview after to return some stuff and I'm walking along and who do I bump into? Avril!!! Yes, my good friend Avril Lavigne who was there to give a free (non-SARS) concert. Watched her do a bit of this and that and went on my way to head downtown. After a nice dinner with my dad, we headed off to ACC where we had super sweet seats a few rows behind the glass. Pucks wizzed and we got to see everything up close and personal. After one of the plays, I yelled out "Let's pick it up Leetchy!" (obviously to Brian Leetch) and he turned around and yelled something at me and smiled. I smiled back completely not knowing what he said. All in all, it was a great game with lots of excitement, crazy fans around us, scoring chances and fun. We even made it onto the JumbleTron (albeit for only a second when the crazy fan in front of us was waving his massive flag.) Only drawback: Trevor Kidd (which of course equates to a loss.)
