Randomness... Man, I've wanted to blog so long but it seems as if I've been so busy lately. To be honest, I'm pretty stressed out with these final exams along with making softball preperations, worrying about Masters stuff and handling other stuff on the side. Nonetheless, here are some random notes of late that have been running through my brain. - I haven't had much time to write about my beloved Leafs. I've been watching them get rocked every night with (generally) poor inconsistent play from forwards and scrambling from the D. The only saving grace is that Eddie's protecting the net as if it were his newborn child. With a heavy collective sigh last night, the entire GTA student community saw their GPAs drop a few percentage points after the frustration of watching a double OT game and wasting all their valuable study time. Moreover, the loss left many (including yours truly) too frustrated to focus and study. And lastly, the addition to the loss, yet another game 7 on Tuesday further detracts away from our invaluable study time (considering especially as I have exams on Wed morning and Thursday as well.) Talk about a three-hit combo. Anyways, I digress. Go Leafs Go! - 3.9 GPA and can't get into Masters?!! (4.0 GPA = perfect) What is this? My friend got early rejected with a 3.9. EARLY rejection. Are you kidding me? (In best Chuck Swirsky voice.) I'm starting to freak out. - As everyone comes home for the summer (which I can't wait for) and finish their exams and go into full relax mode, I begin my exams this Wednesday. Heck, half my friends will be already finished and home by then. I go until May 4. Kill me. Hell week part 1 begins this week with part 2 commencing on the week of the 2nd of May. I won't (or shouldn't) be on MSN and will definitely not be checking emails, updating hockey playoff pools or attending to any other trivial business during my hell weeks. Call cell if you wish to reach me. - Just a note for my MSN buddies: if you already have me on my account at jameslauis@hotmail.com, don't add my new jameslau@rogers.com account to your list also. Stupid MSN lists maxed out so I made a new one. I always open the two of them together so both lists are online, so you only need me on one list. Thanks. - I'm up at the library at 6AM. Did I mention how much I'm looking forward to summer? - Current Timmy's Roll-Up-The-Rim-To-Win record: 2-24. (Odds given are 1-9 to win.) For the record, both "wins" have been crummy (not crumbly, har har) donuts. - Yes, you read correctly: 24 coffees over the past two weeks or so of studying. And we haven't even started counting the Starbucks coffees, 2nd Cup Lattes.... On a totally unrelated note, I think I may be dying of caffeine poisoning. posted by jamescl | 9:05 AM
