Delicious Relationship Cookie... Here's something you don't hear everyday: this blog has been inspired by Pucca & Garu. Yes, those two lovable Korean/Jap figures with the novelty oversized heads, large beady eyes and dark rose coloured cheeks. (Then again, that could encompass more asian characters.) Looking at my friend's pencil case, which features the two lovable characters amicably pecking just reminds me of those good old days when we all had pencil cases/bags. For my asian brothers, you'd remember those little box cases that have buttons at the end that spring open the eraser cabinet, the multi-purpose magnifying glass and prop up the pencils secured in the pencil case. The case was usually decorated with a race car or a motorcycle. The best thing about the asian cases and bags though was the incoherent broken english that absolutely made no sense. Stationary bags outlined with mantras such as "sound is the essence of tree" and "happy friend loves joy hug" definitely were the highlights of those bags. I suppose seeing "delicious relationship cookie" etched into the back of the bag brought back many fond memories.
