A Night to Remember... You know those nights where nothing really happens, but you get home and it's the most exhilarating, fuzzy (warm fuzzy, not drunk fuzzy) and just sweetest night in a while. Well, tonight was one of those nights. A day which began with the completion of a long and arduous take-home exam, a successful arbitration, a fun library visitation continued into a beautiful evening. An evening filled with “man’s pasta” – featuring five meats (chicken, ground beef, meatballs, pork, sausage) – for dinner, shopping, library visitation and exam-care package delivery, house dessert delivery (featuring some hard-as-rock home-baked brownies and ice cream sandwiches), frosh chilling, hangin’ out with a silly melon, coffee and chilling with uppers, group hugs, nostalgic stories, adventurous summer plans and so much more. It’s bittersweet though, I must say. It’s April 14 and exams are about to end, people are about to head back to their respective cities – and yet, ‘tis a beautiful night for falling in love again with Kingston. There’s so much I want to share, so much about how God’s moved my life here in K. So much about wonderful friendships, tough lessons, amazing joys and personal grown and realization that has seized me in my limited time here. I will write again, don’t you worry. But for now, ‘tis back to the balcony, chatting with a dear friend, sippin’ on some hot tea, munching (*ahem* crunching) on some brownies, and basking in the beautiful Kingston evening. PS. - Please excuse the sap – there’s enough to make maple syrup. PPS. – Please excuse the cheese – there’s enough to um…make the Ontario dairy farmers stop rapping. posted by jamescl | 1:41 AM
